"Rosca is selling out his property. People are saying Rosca realizes he is going to lose the April 5 elections, so he is preparing for leaving Moldova. What will he do when he ceases to be a deputy? What destiny is awaiting him now that he will have to stand responsibility for the abuses he has been committing since the early 1990s to date?" wonders the Romanian-language publication.
The newspaper quoted some well-informed Moldovan politicians as saying that for several months by now, President Voronin has been keeping on his worktable the documents on appointing Rosca ambassador to one of the Baltic States "if only Voronin wins the 2009 elections".
"Apparently, the Communists have at their disposal fresh data on voters' moods, and they realize they are going to receive bad results on April 5. In such case, the variant with appointing Rosca as ambassador will not work off, so he has no other option but to quit Moldova", Timpul presumes.
Jurnal de Chisinau newspaper is also drawing readers' attention that Iurie Rosca is head over heels in selling out his wealth, and that "he is so busy with this work that you cannot find him even at a single CDPP pre-election meeting with voters".
Rosca has refuted the above newspaper stories. Speaking over his EuTV channel, he stated he is not at all going to leave his native country "where I have so many work to do yet".

Roşca îşi face valizele?
De câteva zile, prin târg circulă zvonul că liderul PPCD, Iurie Roşca, milionar în euro, proprietar de imobile, tipografii şi instituţii de presă - toate de provenienţă extrem de dubioasă -, îşi vinde averile. Lumea explică acest lucru prin faptul că Roşca, fiind conştient că va pierde alegerile din 5 aprilie, se pregăteşte s-o şteargă din R. Moldova. Şi, pe bună dreptate: cu ce s-ar ocupa el, nefiind deputat, ce soartă îl aşteaptă când va trebui să răspundă în faţa justiţiei pentru toate matrapazlâcurile, ilegalităţile şi abuzurile comise de la ’90 încoace?..
Ceva mai înainte se vorbea că, de câteva luni, pe masa preşedintelui moldovean stau materialele pentru a-l numi pe Roşca ambasador în una din Ţările Baltice - aceasta în cazul în care Voronin câştigă alegerile. Se vede însă că au date proaspete comuniştii vizavi de intenţiile electoratului şi au înţeles că vor înregistra un scor foarte prost. În această situaţie, varianta cu numirea lui Roşca ambasador decade, iar lui Roşca nu-i rămâne altă soluţie decât să plece din R. Moldova. (Cronicar)
