JSC "TIROTEX"
Tiraspol joint-stock company “TIROTEX” is the biggest textile enterprise in the south-west of the CIS. It is a unique industrial complex with strong infrastructure and developed technical, organizational and scientific basis. Its construction was started in 1972 and finished in 1982. JSC "Tirotex" includes: 2 spinning and weaving factories, one finishing factory, sewing factory, power station, automobile base, agricultural complex, "Textile" scientific research institute, developing ecologically pure technology.
Spinning production
In 1974 Spinning Factory was put into operation. The main type of raw material is cotton fiber and partially viscose fiber. The production is single and twisted cotton yarn having width 15,4 tex, 20 tex, 25 tex, 29 tex, 50 tex. The work on renewal of equipment was conducted at Spinning Factory. The old production equipment was replaced by a new highly productive one. Pneumatic-mechanical spinning machines PPM-120-MC and PPM-120-A1M were installed. This allowed to increase labor productivity by 2-2.5 times and the quality of yarn, to automatize a number of technological procedures, to improve sanitary-hygienic conditions for workers.
Weaving Production
Weaving Factory was put into operation in 1975. Modern shuttleless weaving machines STB-1-180, STB-2-216, STB-2-250, STB-330, STB-360, STB-280 with high capacity and pneumatic looms ATPR-120-2U, Sulzer 330 and 360 with carriage mechanisms and jacquard heads are installed in weaving departments. This allows producing grey cotton fabrics with widths from 90 up to 340cm in the following assortment:
• calico group: art. 36, 44,913В, 40-09;
• coarse calico group: art. 4799, 2813, 37, 33-08, 3-00;
• sateen group: art. 74-08, 74-28, 40-20, 36-08;
• suit-dress group: art. 33-01, 5-01, 32-08, 44-08, 29-01, 28-01, 11-01, 31-01, 92-06;
• towel group art. 3813, 61-28, 28-08/7;
• terry group: art. АF264;
• flannel group: art. 1719, 1729, 1739, 2101.
Round knitting frame “Jumberka SYX-3” (Spain) is also installed at the weaving factory for knitted sheets production.
Finishing Factory
In 1978 Finishing Factory, having project value of 10.08mln.sq.m. of ready fabric per year, was built. The factory produces bleached, plain dyed, printed fabrics and fabrics with shrinkage effect and knitted sheets and terry fabrics too. In production departments the equipment of native production and foreign countries is installed: Japany, Germany, Holland, Italy:
• Bleaching line «KIOTO», allowing to produce fabrics up to 185cm.
• Jigger for dyeing fabric with width up to 320cm, company «MCS», Italy (open low temperature)
• Rotary printing machines “STORK”, Holland and « REGGIANE», Itlay, up to 18 colours.
• 12 - colour flat – printing machines «REGGIANE REMBRENDT», Italy; rapport 185 – 8 colours, 240 – 5 colours. Maximum fabric width – up to 320 cm. These machines provide designs high quality printing, broad colour spectrum, a lot of rapport sizes, improved fabric colour decoration, triad printing.
• Teasing machine «MARIO CROSTA», allowing to fulfill some operations automatically. This machine can treat fabrics with width up to 240cm, 260cm, 320cm.
• Final finishing line «BRUKNER», Germany, «REGGIANE», Italy, providing fabric output, having the finishing of good quality: silky, glossy, etc. The width of fabrics treated is up to 320 cm.
• Two engraving plants for rotary screens/stencils production (company “STORK”, Holland, and company “RABUSTELLI” “WAXJET”, Italy. They allow to save the time of designs reproduction, to engrave the screen up to 320cm, providing good quality of complicated designs.
• There is also a flat printed machine of company “Regiane”
• Folding-Packing machine « KAMPEN» allows to make double folding and packing the fabrics of different widths into polyethylene. All the operations are automatized.

produced by companies « CIBA», « BEZEMA», « LAMBERTI». For final finishing chemical stuffs of leading European companies «TANATEX», «СHT», «LAMBERTI» are used.
Sewing Production
During the relatively short period of time the sewing production completely changed its contents: from limited and simple assortment it passed to the production of high quality fashion and courteous articles: suits, dresses, blouses, shirts, kitchen sets, table sets, bed sets, kid’s assortment. The enterprise produces also the clothes of special line:
- work suits, jackets, trousers, overalls, gowns for all the professions;
- medical clothes, surgical coats and suits, head-dresses;
- uniforms for house-maids, barmen, cooks, and kitchen workers, etc.
In departments of sewing production modern highly productive equipment is installed: the universal machines “Brother” (Japan), loop machines “Brother” (Japan), automatic machines for fitted bed sheets (bed sheets with elastic) production, 24-heads embroidery machines “Tajiama” (Japan) for sheets production and other equipment, allowing to produce ready-made goods of good quality and modern design.
“Tirotex” produces fashion, elegant and efficient goods.
In 1993 the company “Tirotex” took part in International Contest in Helsinki and was awarded with the prize “Brilliant Star” for high quality of sewing, individual fabric design, and fashion tendency of articles.
The factory’s stuff is always in constant creative search: they use new technological methods, improve the quality of goods, which are in popular demand in local and international markets.

JSC “TIROTEX” is situated in industrial area of Tiraspol. The complex of buildings is situated on the area of 58,3 hectare.
A railway line and asphalted roads lead to the enterprise. At the enterprise there are five loading ramps, railroadside warehouses.

The labour of all the workers of “Tirotex”, directed to equipment modernization, the use of scientific investigations results, technological process improving, the reproduction and use of new fabric constructions, development of new designs with improved colour spectrum, allows producing fabrics of the best quality, corresponding to the world standards. The products of “Tirotex” are delivered to markets of Austria, Germany, Greece, Italy, Holland, Sweden, Switzerland, Portugal, Romania, Poland, USA. They are being sold through such catalogues as QUELLE, ALDI, Jotex, Hemtex. The fabrics of “Tirotex” were exhibited at the international fairs in Hungary, Bulgaria, Mexico, Germany, Finland. Every year “Tirotex” exhibits its products at the fair “Heimtextil” in Frankfurt and all its goods are always highly esteemed by the leading specialists of these countries. Enterprise’s Quality System is certified by the international standard ISO 9001- 2000, company “Tirotex” was also granted with international confirmation for correspondence to requirements of «Oeco-Tex Standart 100» standards.
Tirotex is a Transnistrian textile company producing clothing and other textile products. It is located in (and gets its name from) Tiraspol. The company was established in 1972.
The products of SA Tirotex are exported to Austria, Germany, Greece, Italy, Holland, Sweden, Switzerland, Portugal, Romania, Poland, and the USA[1]. They appear in a number of catalogs and retail outlets, such as Quelle, Aldi, Jotex and Hemtex.
The company is the largest textile enterprise in the the southwestern Commonwealth of Independent States and also claims to be the second largest of its kind in all of Europe.
