The Annual Wine Festival
During October 1-15, 2005, due to the annual "National Wine Day" celebrations a special free of charge entry-exit visa regime is set for foreign visitors to Moldova according to the provisions of the Law regarding the visa regime of the Republic of Moldova, nr.365-XV of September 25, 2003 (Monitorul Oficial, 2003 Nos. 208-210, art. 785).

The Festival is held under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Moldova, Mr. Vladimir Voronin. Being dedicated to the National Wine Day, the Wine Festival is aimed to revive and promote the standards of the viticulture and wine-making industries, as well as to mark out the national traditions established in the key branches of the national economy. At the same time the event is an excellent opportunity to maintain the prestige of the wine-making production and to attract foreign tourists to Moldova thanks to an important and exciting program.

The program of the Festival will include:
The Parade of wine-makers;
The fair of wine products;
Public and Profesional tasting sessions;
Competitions, lotteries, promotional programs;
Consulting by the specialists with reference to the wines and spirits;
Business meetings;
The performance of creative groups.
